£175.00This training focuses on practical skills and tools to use when having a mental health conversation at work. It offers context on understanding mental health as well as detail on reasonable adjustments and best practices. Useful for anyone who manages staff.
Learning Outcomes:
- Explore the business case for managing mental health at work
- Demystify and understand the term ‘mental health’
- Recognise signs and symptoms of mental ill health
- Use strategies for communicating effectively with staff who may be experiencing mental distress
- Signpost staff to relevant support and services
- Identify and apply reasonable adjustments in relation to mental health
- Explore good practice for absence management in relation to mental health
- Explore the stress vulnerability model (Stress Bucket)
Time and dates
This course is running over a full day, 5th March 2025. The session will be in-person at Clarence House, Horsforth, Leeds, from 9:30am – 4:30pm.
