Leeds Mind Befriending Service
Leeds Mind’s Befriending service works with people over 50 in and around Leeds, who may be struggling with loneliness or social isolation.
We offer one-to-one befriending partnerships with a like-minded befriending volunteer. With your befriender, you can share what’s on your mind, or just enjoy having a chat.
We can offer sessions in-person, online or via telephone.
Studies show 15% of older people in Leeds are socially isolated – this is around 37,000 people. This can have a negative impact on our mental health. The Befriending service promotes better mental health by working to reduce this loneliness and social isolation.
For more information, or for an informal chat about the service, please contact befriending@leedsmind.org.uk or call 0113 305 5800.

Are you lonely or isolated?
