Thursday 10th October 2024 is World Mental Health Day – an annual awareness event that aims to get people talking about mental wellbeing.

This year’s theme, set by the World Federation of Mental Health is: “It’s time to prioritise mental health in the workplace”. The theme highlights the importance of workplace wellbeing for the benefit of businesses, people and communities.

The cost to employers of poor mental health is £51bn per year. The same survey from Deloitte showed 63% of respondents were experiencing at least one characteristic of burnout, an increase from 51% in 2021.

At Leeds Mind, we do a lot of work around workplace wellbeing. This includes:

For World Mental Health Day 2024, we want to connect with both businesses and individuals to look at improving wellness at work.

Here’s what we’re up to for #WorldMentalHealthDay:

Offering a free resource for your workplace

Helping you connect with other businesses

We’re holding our quarterly Leeds Mind Business Connections event on Thursday 10th October. This is a great chance for businesses and organisations in the community to come together and share valuable insight on mental health at work.
